A Singer Songwriter Trio from Cologne

About Me

"Walk through a city, any city, and you don't see it because you are not looking for it. To you it could be invisible but it isn't. Right there! Amid the grey concrete, unseen amongst the hustle and bustle, creeping through a crack in the pavement is a small green bud. Delicate, yet strangely beautiful, this young plant actually contains the power to tear down the buildings that surround it. Look again, now you see it, it isn't invisible.
INVISIBLE is the magnificent new album from SLAMWEJAM. Three lads based in Koeln who realise, like the city's encroaching green, that you don't need a sledgehammer to make a point.
So they threw out the distortion pedals and turned the amps down low, all they needed to do was to write great songs and find the right place to record them. Job done! INVISIBLE is made up of thirteen tracks of the wonderful, timeless variety. Subtle maybe, but just listen, these songs contain the power to claw at even the hardest of hearts. Using just the basics, guitar, bass, drums and sublime three part harmonies, these lads have produced an album worthy of every ear. Songs that will become a soundtrack to your life, whether you are lost in the trees or trying to move a mountain.
Think of the work of Tim Buckley or perhaps Elliot Smith, SLAMWEJAM recognise that this is a seam worth mining, that songs can be sad but also free, enriching things. Shush! Listen! and now you see it, it's no longer invisible.
At the end of the road there is always something."
