David Bowie Mash Ups

A UNIQUE FUSION OF DAVID BOWIE'S MUSIC

About Me

This page is home to my ongoing Bowie remix project and lyric analysis.
The music you hear is the first finished product - a mashup I created for the "Never Follow" competition by David Bowie in collaboration with car manufacturer Audi.
For the competition, I combined the songs "Bring Me The Disco King" from Reality, "Bring Me The Disco King Remix" and "The Dreamers" from Hours. I started from scratch with Sony's Acid Express which was the sole software I used - thus making this one of the most painstaking "cut and paste" operations in history. Even though I never got to enter this in the competition, it's recieved a positive reception.

"I love your mash-up. Fabulous. Really enjoyed it. Very creative. You should have entered it. It might have won. In any case a terrific job. I'm glad to have it in my collection."
- Mike Garson, Pianist on the original song. ------------------------------------------------------------ -----------
"Love it!
Wow...what is that track? Awesome remix!"
- James Freud from The Models. ------------------------------------------------------------ -----------
"I'm glad to see that you are holdin David Bowie down."

- Robin Clark from Simple Minds and Young Americans. ------------------------------------------------------------ -----------
"I dig your mash-ups. They're great! All the best to you."

- Mike Scott from The Waterboys. ------------------------------------------------------------ -----------
