In the 20th Anniversary edition of the British monthly Q Magazine, Bono includes Gryner's 'Almighty Love' as one of the songs of the last 20 years that he wishes he had written. Bono's other choices were 'Brownsville Girl' by Bob Dylan and Sam Shepard; 'Unfinished Symphony' by Massive Attack; 'Live Forever' by Oasis; 'Lucky Man' by The Verve; and 'The Last Song I'll Ever Sing' by Gavin Friday.

Emm Gryner is a songwriter, singer and recording artist with several albums to her credit. Early on, she was awarded the Canadian Music Publisher’s Association songwriting scholarship and went on to win The Mix 99.9 National Songwriting Contest. Emm was nominated in the Best New Artist category at the Juno Awards, and later nominated twice for Best Pop Album. Emm was nominated for Best Toronto Musician (Eye Magazine) and most recently, for Best Songwriter at the Canadian Folk Music Awards for her album “The Summer of High Hopesâ€.
Emm has toured and collaborated with Jann Arden, Ron Sexsmith, The Cardigans, Josh Ritter, Rufus Wainwright, Kate McGarrigle and many others. She has appeared at festivals such as Oxegen, Ladyfest, Lilith Fair and Hillside Festival. She toured in David Bowie’s band and appears on the live disc “Bowie At The Beeb†recorded live at BBC in London. In addition, Emm has lent her voice and sometimes piano to recent albums by Def Leppard, Rob Zombie and Matt Nathanson. Emm runs a label, Dead Daisy Records, to which she signed In-Flight Safety, Royal Wood and Daniel Ledwell.
Emm is currently hosting a CBC radio show with fellow songwriter Danny Michel called “Under The Covers†and has just finished a new album of original material with Grammy-nominated producer Greg Wells. Recently, Emm made her acting debut in the feature film “One Week†directed by Michael McGowan and starring Joshua Jackson.
