I grew up in NYC-I lived in the Bronx and Queens-When I lived on LI I played in several bands with Lee Rocker Who went on to become the founding member of rockabilly Band "The Stray Cats". I Played drums in many bands over the years in NYC and Western NY. One of my bands Opened for "the Tubes"in 1998-it is there that Tubes drummer Trey turned me on to my now Favorite tequilia "patron" Rehearsed and recorded at Shelter Studios in Manhattan owned By Steve Missal(Billy Idols Drummer)-Shared a studio with "the Ramones", "The waitresses" amongst others . I am proud to be on 3 Cds with my Brother in The "Yitzchok halevi Band"-We Got radio play throughout the world, We played concerts and were voted one of the best new bands of the 90's By JM in The Am in NYC. My Brother played with Paul Shafer(David Letterman) Lew Surloff(Blood Sweat and Tears) and Scott Ian(Anthrax). I played on two Cds and one live video with the Late Guitarist Alec Williams in an improv band called"this is Heat" we played live on The Rochester NY Radio Station WBER as well filmed live in concert at "The Island Cottage". I also am honored to be on a CD with Bass virtueoso Chris Matheos-featuring A duet bassed on a drum solo I wrote called Colisuem. When I taught drums one of my Students Was "J Mac" who is autistic and made national news for scoring 20 points in the last few mins. of the Greece Athena HS in Rochester NY-you never know who's life you'll touch!!
My Current project I just finished writting a childrens book called "The Story Of John Abernathy" that is Being illustrated by the multi talented man Mr.Regi Hendrix-Regi is Jimi's cousin-He and I work well creatively together and have become stead fast friends!!
