About Me

Currently residing in Toronto and studying music at Humber College. Chris grew up in Winnipeg and studied music at the University of Manitoba. He started working as a professional musician at the age of sixteen with the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra and has gone on to play and record with many of Canada’s finest musicians and ensembles: Hilario Duran’s Latin Big Band, Luis Mario Ochoa’s Cimarron, Don Thompson, Steve Kirby’s Jazz on Wheels, the Toronto Jazz Orchestra, Ron Paley’s Big Band, and countless others. Chris has been fortunate to open for world class acts as diverse as Kenny Barron and The Roots, and is also familiar with the studio having recorded as a soloist with artist AMIT on his single You and Me and Love, now in regular rotation on the BBC. Chris has been awarded the Jerry Johnson Scholarship and the Moe Koffman Universal Music Award. Looking forward to another year studying/playing in Toronto. Planning on continuing growing and learning.
