Highly in demand on the Winnipeg music scene, he has performed and/or recorded with such notable local artists and organizations as The Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra, Ron Paley Big Band, University of Manitoba Faculty Jazz Ensemble, Papa Mambo, Combo Latino, Moses Mayes, Janice Finlay Quintet and Rainbow Stage among others. Pittman has also had the pleasure of performing/recording with such international artists as Byron Stripling, Wycliffe Gordon, Slide Hampton, Steve Kirby, Alvin Atkinson, Marian McPartland, Bill Dobbins, Jeff Campbell, Peter Erskine, Rich Thompson, The Dave Rivello Ensemble, Bob Montgomery, Greg Gatien and Scott Prebys.
An active educator and clinician, Pittman has taught at the Eastman School of Music, University of Manitoba and Silver Heights Collegiate. He has also served as a clinician/adjudicator throughout Canada and the United States.
Pittman holds a Master of Music degree in Jazz Performance from the Eastman School of Music as well as Bachelors degrees in Music Performance and Music Education from the University of Mary.
