All that you need to know about A MILLION DOLLAR MOVIE.COM can be found here!
What Is It About?
A MILLION DOLLAR MOVIE.COM is the first $1,000,000 movie funded entirely through the World Wide Web. Once funding is secured, Matteo Ribaudo and Sean King, through their company Make It Happen Films, will produce the movie and distribute it domestically and internationally. Funding will be secured through pixel advertising on A MILLION DOLLAR MOVIE.COM. Any individual or business may purchase ad space on our homepage. Space can be purchased for $1 per pixel with a 100 pixel minimum and no maximum. Each buyer of advertising space will receive a personalized icon that will link directly to the website of his/her choice. The size of the icon is dependent on how many pixels are purchased. To guarantee buyers of advertising space a steady stream of new and repeat visitors to the site, a screenplay contest will run simultaneously with the advertising campaign. The screenplay contest winner will be chosen by the world via online voting; and Make It Happen Films will produce the screenplay with monies generated through advertising. Go to Screenplay Contest Page for more information.
Why Advertise?
Through a carefully planned media / promotional campaign and public buzz, many curious web users will be visiting our site. Each new visitor will be shown a linked icon to your website and/or business. There will also be an advertising banner at the top of each page featuring your logo on one of those pages which will be linked to your site. The more people who come to A MILLION DOLLAR MOVIE.COM, the more likely they will click on your icon, thereby generating MORE traffic to your website.
Why a $100 Minimum?
Since one pixel would be almost invisible to the naked eye, the smallest amount of pixels offered is a 10 x 10 block. This size can easily be seen as a clear icon. The more pixels purchased, the greater the size of the icon, and in turn, increases the chances of attracting the attention of potential clients. The homepage contains a total of 10,000, $100 blocks of advertising space.
What Do I Get For My Purchase of Advertising Space?
Your one time purchase of advertising space will allow you to keep your linked icon on the website for 3 full years. A $100 advertisement averages out to around .09 U.S. cents a day for three years worth of advertising. Thats pennies on the dollar for the massive amount of click through traffic that will be visiting the site each day and linking up with your business. All advertisers will receive a special thank you in the credits once the movie is produced.

Why Should I Submit?
This unique contest gives you the opportunity to circumvent the typical industry politics that may prevent your script from being read let alone produced. The winning screenwriter will receive a $10,000 cash prize and the satisfaction of seeing his/her work come to life courtesy of Make It Happen Films (* if the total entry of the contest does not exceed 100 submissions then the prize for selected winner will be $5,000 instead of the advertised $10,000).
Submission Criteria?
All submitted screenplays must be un-produced, un-optioned, original works of the writer(s). There must be no dispute about the ownership of the screenplay or the writers right to submit it. Adaptations of previously published material are acceptable only if the writer can provide written proof of his/her legal right to adapt the material to screenplay form. Additionally, adaptations of works in the public domain will also be admissible. We advise all writers to register their script with the Writers Guild of America www.wga.org or have materials copyrighted through the Library of Congress for their protection. All screenplays should be budgeted for around $1-to-2 million.
What Genres Are Accepted?
All genres will be accepted except pornography.
What To Include In Each Submission?
Please include your contact information on one cover page (this information must not appear on the title page or anywhere in your script). The information should include the following: Name, Address, Phone Number, Email Address, and any other identifying personal info such as a website, etc. You should also include on this page a short synopsis along with the title of your script. The synopsis will only be used to assist us in the tracking process and will not be used to judge the screenplay.
Who Can Submit?
We are accepting submissions from anyone 18 and older. Employees, contractors, or immediate family members of the principals of A MILLION DOLLAR MOVIE.COM and Make It Happen Films, are ineligible to submit screenplays. Screenplays written by more than one person are eligible, but only one prize of $10,000 will be awarded (* if the total entry of the contest does not exceed 100 submissions then the prize for selected winner will be $5,000 instead of the advertised $10,000). It is the writers responsibility to distribute the prize accordingly. Writers will have 60 days to distribute the money; if there are multiple writers, each has to register his/her name as the said writers, and they have 60 days to decide who to distribute the money to. If writers of a winning screenplay are unable to agree on the distribution of the prize, they will be disqualified and the runner-up will recieve the $10,000 prize (* if the total entry of the contest does not exceed 100 submissions then the prize for selected winner will be $5,000 instead of the advertised $10,000). If there are any conflicts as to who recieves the money, then Make It Happen Films is not responsible for any legal dispute of the said registered writers. Submitted materials will not be returned. Make sure to keep a copy for your records.

All screenplays must be submitted in English. Please submit all materials either electronically in PDF (ending in .pdf), WORD (ending in .doc), or FINAL DRAFT (ending in .fdr) formats, or to our PO Box (instructions provided when you are ready to submit).
