The Gael Force

Takin' on The Babylon an' all its Henchmen

About Me

The first incarnation of The Gael Force appeared in 1998 and featured on Seven Seals by STS, as well as the Oh Eye Records compilation Eye Drops Volume 1. They have also featured on BBC radio's Session In Scotland programme. After a gig at the Basement in Edinburgh with Reachout and his live band in 2002, The Gael Force decided to recruit a band of their own.
The Gael Force has broad Scottish roots, drawing members from Edinburgh, Inverness, Glasgow, Johnstone and Paisley. They are currently based in the Renfrewshire/Glasgow area.
The Gael Force blend Old Skool sensibilities with a modern feel, via Blaxploitation soundtracks and classic funk grooves, to produce a surprisingly accessible sound.
To quote The Scotsman's review of their King Tuts debut: "...a magnificent opening set from the hip-hop collective, Gael Force won over a sceptical gathering..." Enjoy.
