About Me

90.3fm the core 's concert calendar~ is for musicians who's dates are in the ny,nj,pa area ~concert calenders are done for a weeks worth of concerts~ get your concert date to me 2, or 3 weeks before the sunday of the week your concert date's are~ concert calendar is broadcast every other hour on the 1/2 hour every day~ so i am happy to tell you about this this ~it's a good thing~ get back to me asap~ if you are interested~ catch you on the flipside ~ nanaMyspace Backgrounds
i am a dj at 90.3thecore~ nj college radio~ i really love playing music of singer songwriters~ rock and blues~ i try my best to treat the music with the respect it deserves and play what is under played or blatantly ignored by commercial radio~ streamable at http://thecore.fm oh and the radio shows are :the flipside~ wednesday's & friday morning 8am - 10 am ~ ** and new~ the night light~ 12am sunday mornings~ so you see~ for the summer~ they gave me more air time~ and i can't help but laugh about that~ and be grateful too~my page background is of island beach state park~ in the winter~ and i walked that stretch of beach undoubtedly~ because i walked the coast between sandy hook and cape may~ the whole thing~in 05 -06~ best adventure i have ever had~ walk summary is at theflipsideattic.com **a little update~ umm nana's reason for walking that coast was to get stronger after a spinal cord injury~ and i did~ i have had 2 good years~ now i have re injured it~ and although i have had a rather big setback~ i am getting stronger little by little~ but slow has been my pace before~ so i am not discouraged~ thanks to you who have been praying for me~ you rock~ love nana

ecclectic~ i am a regular listener to 90.3 the core~ & also i am a big fan of breakfast with the beatles~ i like old and new rock, blues~ jazz ~ the undiluted variety~ as opposed to the smooth variety~ motown~ and i have been known even to go to the opera~ yeah~ its a stretch for me i admit~but my niece ~ the opera girl will culture me ~ maybe

Movies:

the wizard of oz~ the wicked witch is on the top of my list of the best evil one in a movie~ and then of course i have a thing for the ruby slippers~ what can you do~ other films i have watched recently mary poppins~ on golden pond~ finding nemo~ all beautiful movies~ take poppins~ some masterful artwork in that film~ the views of london's rooftops and more all painted on glass~ whoo~ and nemo is beautiful animation ~ so beautiful~ and on golden pond~ filmed with a mind to catch the beauty of nature as a canvas for the story~ ok all done~ with film reviews~

Television:

pbs~ antiques roadshow~ charlie rose~ masterpiece theatre~ mystery~soundstage~austin city limits~ umm~ great performances ~ network tv ~ jeopardy~ sunday morning with charles osgood~ oh yeah charles kuralt~ i cried when he died ~ felt like i lost a friend~

Books:

yeah~ besides the Bible~ where do i start ~ favorite book is the poisonwood bible~ i can relate very strongly to adah~ one of the characters ~ and so i read a lot~ and every once in a while i stumble across an exceptional read~ i will post those here~recommended reading:pillars of the earth by ken follett~ so interesting~ and character development is right on~ and 900 pages and change later and you want it to keep on going~ and the book is over~ and you are sad~ great book~ a must read~mapmaker's opera~ by bea gonzalez~ it is about maps, birds love and more ~ lyrically written~ ~ just wonderful~ very wonderful~bridge of sigh's by richard russo~ incredibly written with the texture of life so real you know the people~ you want to visit them~ every day~ and you do every time you pick it up and read it~days' of the endless corvette~ by man martin~poignant and hilarious and cynical and then not~ great great book~ you will laugh out loud~ even if you are reading in a public place like in a dr's waiting room~ he has a sardonic way of writng and i can relate~ besides i'm thinking he has the talent of a mark twain~
