Stevie was born with a microphone in his hand and loves the stage. "If I can make you smile or cry with my songs, if I can evoke some kind of emotion I've done my job". He started taking his music seriously several years ago, when in 1997 he found his musical niche in country. A friend of Stevie's talked him into competing in a local country competition where he beat out 16 other performers for the top title of the day Modern Male Entertainer. Music has always been in his blood, starting out as a young boy, age 9 performing on Minstrel Shows directed by his Dad. He loved the spotlight and loves, to this day to ham it up.
Since that first competition Stevie has won many state, regional and national competitions with his brand of entertainment, comedy and his great personality. Stevie has also been awarded many special awards in-cluding, "Dick Curless Memorial Award" "Ken McKenzie Memorial Award" "Sammy Davis Memorial Award" and several rising star and horizon awards. His music has afforded him the opportunity to entertain fans around the world, touring in the U.S.A., Europe and Australia.
Stevie wrote his first song in 1997, an anniversary song he wrote for his wife called, "What Do You See In Me". That song won several awards. Since then he has written many other songs, recorded 4 Country, 1 Christmas and 1 Country Gospel albums. It's been a great ride for this down home country boy with a heart of gold. Says Stevie, "I'm livin' and lovin' a Country Music Dream! I will continue as long as the good Lord allows!"
I hope you enjoy the perfomance slide show to the left and also the newly added video of "She's A Naughty Girl". This song was written by Stevie & a friend, Harry King.
