What others are saying:
The assortment of lawn chairs scattered across Zane Park for Friday night's Rustie Blue & The Stallions Concert were nearly as colorful as the Italian street paintings which were still chalked on Broad Street.Hundreds of locals jammed the park for the bandstand concert, which began with the Stallions performing a cover of Alabama's "Mountain Music" shortly after the courthouse bell struck 7. For the next half-hour, children danced on the park's brick pathways as the five-member band played an assortment of country covers and golden oldies, including "Pretty Woman," "Last Kiss" and Tracy Byrd's "Ten Rounds of Jose Cuervo."At 7:30p.m., Blue, an energetic redhead, took the stage to belt out Elvis' hit, "Burning Love," followed by "The Devil May Care," a tune from her upcoming album, "Chip Chip." She also covered Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette (with a member of the Stallions filling in for George Jones) and Dolly Parton. But the cover that got the most attention was Gretchen Wilson's recent hit, "Redneck Woman." Several members of the audience got up to dance and still more sang along with the lyrics, "I'm a Redneck Woman, I ain't no high class broad."Fans were in no short supply at the concert. Lancaster resident Sherry Foltz danced in her front-row seat, holding aloft a sign that proclaimed, "Rustie Blue, we love you! Lancaster Eagle Gazette
