Hey Everyone! My name is Jayme Lynn Scott. I am originally from LaPorte, Indiana, and have been working on my dream to sing country music since 11 years-old. I was born February 23, 1986, in Michigan City, Indiana. By age 6, I already knew what I wanted to do with my life, be a country music star! I would spend hours in our basement singing songs like, "Maybe It Was Memphis" by Pam Tillis, "You Lied" by Reba McEntire, and "Let's Give Them Something to Talk About" by Bonnie Rait.By age 11, I was accompanied and supported by my parents at small gigs such as singing at local nursing homes, private parties, small clubs, or festivals. At age 12, I completed my very first CD called, "Shade of Blue," followed by three other CD’s by the age of 17. With the help of my promoter, Gary Bradshaw of Western Heart Promotions, my music did get exposure in places like Holland, New Zealand, Australia, and Poland.By age 18, I made a detour and decided to attend Indiana University and study Elementary Education for a back-up plan to singing. I finished my freshman year, but knew country music was where I belonged. With the full support of my parents, I left college and Indiana to pursue my music. At 19, my parents and I packed up my car. I said good-bye to my mom, and my dad drove me, my car, and everything of mine I could fit in my car, to Dallas, Texas. I love Texas! I love living here and all the wonderful people I have met. I got the chance to sing five nights a week headlining at Cowboy's Red River in Dallas, Texas, and I learned so much! I have opened for such artists as Neal McCoy, Jason Aldean, Emerson Drive, Jeff Bates, and Chris Cagle. I also have the wonderful opportunity to work with voice coach, Dee Ann Nelson, of Forte Vocal Studios in Dallas. My three song demo is almost complete. Check out an original song I wrote myself called, "Life of Goodbyes" and another song written by my good friend Jamey Garner called, "Down I Go," on my page right now! I am also working on a song written by Rivers Rutherford out of Nashville called, "I Want to With You." So please keep a close look-out to the site! Thanks for stopping in and please come back! Love, JLS.Quote to live by:
