About Me

How do you define a band that defies definition? In an age where metal bands are eager to jump into a single easily named category, it becomes difficult to find bands that don't mimic the sound of a limited influence. Does this mean that for a band to be original they must resort to alienating themselves by sounding overly obscure? The answer is no.
Fracture Point is a metal 4 piece from Phoenix, Arizona. While riding the wave of success of their 2006 EP entitled "Hatred Set Free" they have developed not only their own unique sound, but a very devoted following. Brutal yet catchy, Groove-oriented yet technical, Progressive yet pit-friendly, Fracture Point has spent the past 5 years etching their powerful sound into the heads of Arizona and Southern California with a relentless gig schedule and constant promotion.
What can you expect from a Fracture Point live experience? Energy. Intensity. A powerful metal sound that is sorely lacking in todays so called "hardcore metal scene". Vocal hooks, guitar riffs and drum patterns that stick in your head for weeks. Songwriting and structure that create musical moments that are not easily forgotten. What you will not find is poppy sing-song choruses, predictable breakdowns, gimmicks or fashion trends that are already dying.
The future is bright for fans of true metal. In February of 2008 Fracture Point enter the studio with producer Cory Spotts (Job for a Cowboy, Knights of the Abyss) to record their full length LP entitled "Inherit the Downfall". With a well produced album of the bands most dynamic, epic and ambitious material to date Fracture Point will make a name for themselves among metal's elite.
