Satan’s Basement is an independent metal project started in the spring of 2006. Originally started to make joke songs, Satan’s Basement eventually evolved into a full time project, with a hard to explain sound.
Never sticking to one genre, it’s hard to stick Satan’s Basement under anything, so mostly it’s considered just an experimental metal project. Since influences come from various types of death, sludge, black, doom, industrial, drone, post, and other types of metal, there are a lot of characteristics of those genres displayed in some songs. Other influences come from hard rock, post-rock, stoner rock, classic rock, video games, noise, noises in general, life in general, ambient, (believe it or not) folk, and classical music as well.
I don’t have a lot of money to fund this project, but I do the best I can to make the music I think up. I do all the song writing, performing, recording, and mixing all on my own.
