They have recorded 2 cd called "Venere" (demo cd, 2000) and "Pharmakon" (full-lenght, 2004) that have been very well told by papers and web fanzines. They are actually writing the new album that will probably be in shops in November. A small label has told that it's interessed in publishing, but the band is actually thinking about it... Quintessenza catch their inspiration from two waves of progressive: the first you can find listening to their music is the Metal Progressive genre, coming from bands like Dream Theater or Pain of Salvation. But you can find another wave into their sound that comes up from Italian bands like Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Premiata Forneria Marconi and Area for some things involving voice and lyrics.
