About Me

I'm pretty much trying to create the life that I'm excited about living. Somes days I'm more successful at it than others. Overall, I feel I've been pretty lucky with it, learning many amazingly valuable lessons along the way. If there are 3 simple, highly impacting, steps one can take to help themselves do such, I'd list them as: 1. Turn off your TV 2. Eat healthy food. 3. Move your savings (if you have any) to a credit union or community bank.I certanly don't consider myself your usual american. I've already got my list of places that I'd be more than happy living in if the current state of affairs becomes completely unacceptable. Places like Paris, India, Melbourne, Belize, Prague and Buenos Aires. (So I usually can only chuckle when people drop the "If you don't like it here, leave" comment. What about the "If you don't like it here, do something to change it" idea??) If you are against the war, but you still keep savings in a bank, you're still supporting the war), Bicycling ( RAGBRAI has been an annual event, but Iowa's a Red state, so.... My bicycle has taken me across the U.S., down the Cal. coast, through England, France, Belgium and the Netherlands, and other places I'm forgetting. One day it'll likely take me around Australia.), Humor ( JokeTribe keeps me amused), Cacophony Society , Santa Rampage , that naked hippie rave thing in the Nevada desert , meaningful coincidence, wine, good food, spirituality, meditation , Hinduism, Buddhism , tolerance, compassion, passion, subculture, permaculture, sustainable communities, self realization, astrology, the night sky (especially with the space station flying by), making shit happen, informing the masses, night blooming jasmine, the way you make me feel.
