Drums, groove, and pocket!
Born and bred in Amityville, New York, I began playing drums at age five. Discovered Jimi Hendrix's Mitch Mitchell around age 11 and practiced my ass off in the basement for about 5 years, playing in local bands and then eventually getting gigs in Manhattan.
In 1995, I joined Mama Kettle in CT, a band that my friends Alan Stuart and Steve Broderick had founded. The band later became Opium for the Masses, and we all moved back to New York, this time to Manhattan. Opium was an eye opener for me. Did some big shows, travelled all over, recorded with producer Jack Douglas(John Lennon, Aerosmith), and had a bit fun along the way.
After Opium, I began networking in Manhattan a bit, and with the help of Adam Bomb, I started sitting in with the China Club house band on Thursday nights. The band was nasty! It always featured some amazing players from the Rolling Stones band, Billy Joel's band, Will Lee, T.M. Stevens, Benny Harrison, and the list goes on. You never knew who was going to show up.
Then in 1999, I auditioned for Nuno Bettencourt's new band. 3 months later I was rehearsing in Australia with Nuno and Donovan and then onto a tour in Japan playing sold-out shows to Nuno's screaming fans. It was an amazing experience. I wound up moving to Salem, MA to record two records with Nuno(FSFR, Population 1).
In 2002, we moved our family to Melbourne, Australia and I took about 6 months off from playing. That was another eye opening experience. Living without playing! Who would have thought? Anyway, when I got back on the kit I had a whole new perspective on playing.
Since then, I have had the pleasure of playing with some of Australia's finest muso's. Doing gigs and sessions for David Franj, Natalie Bassingthwaighte from the Rogue Traders, K.P.S. Jam, Alan Fletcher from the TV show Neighbors, Broadford Stash, Matt Hetherington, Brad Pascoe, and the Tommy Rando Band.
I am currently recording and writing with Tommy Rando, and I have been assembling a bigass 12-piece funky soul band on the side for a little fun. That's where it's at! :)
Quotes from the Industry

has one of the best pockets and phatest backbeats I've had the pleasure
of recording! His creativity, technique and instincts for what's best
for the song are all excellent. A pleasure to work with."
