Magnakartah is the writing/production collective of Dele Ladimeji.
Their current track is an updating of the classic Anita Ward song "Ring My Bell" featuring vocals from new act Blondie Gang - the Magnakartah radio mix has already debuted at Number One on a Gold compilation album in Europe and is about to be promoted via several mixes (Jason Herd/EMP/James Hockley) in specialist UK clubs, followed by a nationwide campaign mid-March. Those familiar with the track, will also recognise it from the heavily rotated Heinz advert.Magnakartah have recently gained clearance from the legendary “Afrika Bambattaa†(Planet Rock) to use his famed “Get Up And Dance†hit with a Silvertongue composition “Miracle†featuring Laura More (Sony/BMG) for Expanded Music Italy. The track has charted at No. 2 in the Italian Dance Promo Charts. Other recent Magnakartah success has been Melanie C’s platinum selling album “Beautiful Intentionsâ€. Dele and collaborator Paul Boddy co-wrote/co-produced the title track and “Take Your Pleasure†which entered the UK album charts at No. 10, it was also No. 1 in Portugal for over 11 weeks and was certified Platinum in Switzerland, Germany and Austria, selling in excess of 400,000 units. At present, Melanie still opens her live shows with the track Beautiful Intentions.Dele Ladimeji is a graduate of the ground breaking Middlerow Records. A fusion style of Dance/Electro and Rock. Dele has written and produced with a diverse range of artists including Billy Burnette (formally of Fleetwood Mac), Natasha Bedingfield, Lucie Silvas and Route 33. In addition to this, another recent success story for Dele is “Mr Q†which is the lead track on the 2million selling album “Dancing Diva†by Taiwanese artist Jolin Tsai which was released in S.E Asia on EMI/Capitol.Dele's co-producer on "Ring My Bell", "Miracle" and with Melanie C is Paul Boddy, who as EMP has had several top 10 entries in the UK commercial chart with his remixes and had a Top 10 single with Echobeatz's version of Mas Que Nada.
