One of the World’s most recognizable names in vocal house Jason Herd needs little to no introduction. Three times a Subliminal artist, Jason has gained main stage status with his worldwide hit “I Just Can’t Get Enough†as Herd & Fitz, and is currently experiencing the same buzz and success with his new release, Jason Herd vs. Flashlight “My Girlâ€. His recent mix album for One Love Australia flew to No1 in the commercial charts down under as well as his Subliminal Sunsets album that have gained great accolade.
After smashing the Space Terrace and Pacha in Ibiza for the past three years, and making it to the final five at the House Music Awards for Best New Producer alongside Steve Angello and Axwell, Jason has taken some time out this year to concentrate on his new releases on his label JFunk Recordings. This November sees the label hit its 21st release with a collaboration from Jason and Ben Macklin featuring Steve Edwards (of Bob Sinclair fame) on vocals. Further collaborations come with Wawa, Lisa Millet, Chris Ortega, Amanda Wilson and Abigail Bailey. Jason has also been busy remixing for Toolroom and Data (Ministry Of Sound) including the awesome Fedde Le Grand & Ida Corr, the UK smash H2O “What You Gonna Doâ€, and his remix of Shakira’s “Las Des La Intuiciónâ€, which received great reviews across the press.
As well as producing vocal house Jason has been busy working on his underground productions. His first tracks were quickly signed to Azuli, Toolroom and Riley and Durant’s Nu Breed label, showcasing the styles he plays at his Manchester Residency, Sankeys and the more underground gigs. His techy remix of Papa New Guinea recently got a formal release and garnered huge support from Carl Cox, Steve Angello and more.
Still busy DJing far and wide Jason has DJ’d for Dolce and Gabbana at their 20th birthday party with stars including Donna Summer, at the Cannes film festival closing party, also hosted by Dolce and Gabbana, and at high profile events such as Creamfields, Global Gathering, Toolroom Knights (Ministry Of Sound), Space Miami, Pacha Brazil, One Love and Platinum (Australia) plus many more. Jason’s wide spectrum of house music ranges from the funkier, vocal end to the more underground, techy side whilst always providing a hands-in-the-air set layered with accapellas, loops and effects.
Jason’s studio preparation pre-DJ gig ensures the crowd always receive something fresh - cut-ups of all styles that always leave the crowd rockin - which is the reason he has been resident for Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, and more recently Sankeys, making him one of the most respected DJ and producers in dance music today.
