Librarian by day...tigerrrr by night

About Me

I'm not really a librarian, I just look like one. I'm a single 30-something chick who dated more than 40 guys in the past two and a half years in search of a guy who wanted to wake up to my face every morning for the rest of his life (or a fair chunk of it anyway). I met them all online and there was a lot of fun and frisky business and some frustration and hurt feelings and then...FINALLY I met a guy who is shaping up like he could be Mr Right. Time will tell....You can read all about my dating exploits and what's happening with my new man (number 42) in my blog, along with oodles of advice for anyone else out there looking for love (or something like it) ... If you're going to visit the Frisky Library, why not peruse my blog while you're here?PS I get a lot of emails, so I make it my priority to respond to people who have read my blog and contacted me to make a comment about it (and even then it takes me a while!). And all you random guys who aren't in my friends list, please don't message me just to ask if I want to chat ... I don't.This profile was edited with The CricketSoda Myspace Editor

My Interests

Blogging, books, hot baths, reading in the bath, finding new and funny words in the dictionary by accident, board games, crosswords, the Target puzzle in The Age, reading the weekend papers, pudding, all-day breakfasts, bacon, chocolate, smells that remind me of when I was a kid (Aerogard, nugget, eucalyptus leaves...), music, live bands, live comedy, lazy Sundays in bed, crunching dead leaves on the footpath, sleeping, walking, sleep-walking, cocoa butter (mmmm I smell good), spending an entire afternoon poking about at Chapel Street Bazaar, getting sweaty at the gym, people watching, getting saucy texts while I'm at work, full body cuddles, pashing, massages, frisky business

I'd like to meet:

Nerdy, cool, funny, laid back guys and girls. Lovers of verbiage, music, food, pashing and silliness. Anyone else who's got some internet dating stories to tell or people who are thinking they might have a crack at it.

Music:

White Stripes, Raconteurs/Saboteurs, Augie March, The Waifs, The Grates, The Shins, Powderfinger, The Audreys, AC/DC, Hoodoo Gurus, a bit of yee-haw music, cheesy one-hit wonders from the 80s.

Movies:

Pulp Fiction, Napoleon Dynamite, Amelie, Almost Famous, Love Actually, Chocolat, American Beauty, High Fidelity, Garden State, Two Hands, Clerks (I not II)

Television:

Spicks n Specks, Scrubs, Seinfeld, The Simpsons, Buffy, Angel, Media Watch, At the Movies, proper news and current affairs

Books:

I have quite the library, of course

Heroes:

Grover from Sesame Street. He might be a monster but he's polite and kind.

Brain spew

A slice of my brain.... How is it possible some women think white stockings look good? How ace are flannellete sheets in winter? Mmmmm, toasty. Why the hell can't I sleep when I stay at 42's hous...

Who's really lost?

Have you seen that TV show The Lost Tribes? The one where three "average" Aussie families spend two weeks living with three separate "primitive" tribes in Indonesia and Africa? I'm not much...

"I love you, Crumpet." "I love you too, Crumpet."

Sweetheart, honey, love, sugar, baby, dear, darling, pumpkin, big hunk o' spunk. I've never been a big user of terms of endearment in previous relationships, but that has changed with 42. There's one...

Passive Aggressive Librarian

A note to my flatmate... Paul As you spend all your time in your bedroom looking at net porn, watching reality TV and eating processed meats, I am writing you a note to ask you to get off your r...

Things I hate about the world (repost)

I'm generally a smiley and upbeat librarian, but ya know, some things really get the Frisky goat and every once in a while I need to get it all off my chest. People often write rants on here titled "T...

Things I hate about the world II (repost)

You may recall my post a few months back listing a bunch of things that annoy me. Well, here's some more. Noisy eating... Aaaargh! I cannot stand it. My flatmate sounds like a toothless granny mooshi...

Home safe

42 and I returned from our long weekend away last night, sleepy but happy. We travelled over 1700 kms in four days, but it was worth it. 42 was very pleased with himself because he placed third in hi...

Six months later...

Today is the day that 42 and I leave for our long weekend away for the scary boat race. It's also exactly six months from the day we met in the late spring sunshine on bustling Chapel Street. Si...
