23rd precinct music was born in 1992 to coincide with the launch of limbo records at that time.The brainchild of director Billy Kiltie 23rd Precinct Music has over the years built up a substantial catalogue of songs predominately in the dance scene and indeed is the publisher for over 90% of the classic limbo and out on a limb catalogues with some memorable club classics from the likes of Gypsy,Havanna,Mukkaa and Umboza. Also under the 23rd Precinct Music banner is the 23rd precinct record label whos main writer and the man behind the top chart act Q-Tex ,is Scott Brown.Scott has written many dance hits over the last 15 years including the massive Q-tex Power of Love and this week is back in the Top 40 with his collaboration with Ultrabeat called Elysium. 23rd Precinct Music began their partnership with Notting Hill Music about 4 years ago after some lengthy discussion with Billy and Notting Hills Andy Mcqueen agreeing on a long term path to grow the company.Notting Hill administer the long running 23rd labels catalogue but have another arm to the deal where both companys co-own the publishing.This has led to some high profile writers such as Hemstock and Jennings,Lost Witness,Steve gibbs,Public Domain ,Kuffdam and Plant,Stu hirst,Michael Paterson,The Flash Brothers,Xtm and most recently Uniting Nations and the Uks eurovision entry Daz Sampson joinning the 23rd bandwagon.There have been lots of hit records between these writers and you can check the online biogs of each songwriter for a breakdown along with snippets of their music.
