TOM DEMAC - LONG WAY DOWN / JADED WITH RIPPERTON REMIX
Having already garnered a reputation for quality electronic house and techno via excellent output for Sthlm Audio, Hypercolour and his own Eletronique Audio, Demac’s new EP for Bristol based Four:Twenty sees him set the bar higher with two tracks of thoughtful yet dancefloor house.
The lead cut, ‘Long Way Down’ is a bumping groove which interweaves pure, machine-made sounds with a tweaked vocal which results in a truly forward thinking deep houser with real soul and originality.
Its counterpart ‘Jaded’ takes the traditional chord-laden deep house template to a new level. Constantly evolving effects and percussion juggle a beautifully simple melody throughout the track and Demac shows off his uncanny ability to breathe life and warmth into circuits.
Ripperton furthers his reputation as one of the finest house and techno artists today with a remix of ‘Jaded’ which combines smooth acidic bass tones with a laid-back, blissed out vibe.

CLASS 71 - ALBA ADRIATICA - WITH MOVE D MIXES
Class71 return to the constantly in-form Four:Twenty following the “Diamond Doorâ€/â€Seaphone†12†debut which won fans of just about every decent house dj around, and what a follow up it is!
“Alba Adriatica†is a 13 minute excursion in to Detroit flavoured house and is as subtle as it is memorable. A rounded bassline provides the movement while delicate, dubby fx create a hypnotic vibe which underpins a blissful live saxophone and rising keys. The summer is not over yet.
Always being attentive to DJs needs, Four:Twenty have also included a dub for the saxo-phobes and if that wasn’t enough, they bring in the legendary Move D for further mixes.
With a back catalogue which includes celebrated labels such as Modern Love, Uzuri, City Centre Offices and Liebe*Detail, Move D is the toast of underground house music and has delivered a vocal and dub mix of impeccable standards.
Utilising the FM bass and bringing the chords up in the mix, Mr. D (as nobody calls him) creates a densely layed percussive dub mix which provides a perfect kickless track for creative DJing while his vox mix adds both kick and some sparse but beautiful vocal touches.
This is another winner from a label which continually searches out fresh talent and is more than worthy of your attention.
