2009
So far this year my single “Closer” saw a full release in January to launch SAME Recordings, with major support from the likes of Paul van Dyk & Armin before hitting the compilation CDs. A/B Project “Adversity” was released early February complete with Sequentia remixes, and my remix of Dave Walker's "Sunshine At Night" also received major support which launched my SAME Progressive imprint. The next Steve Anderson single “Always More” includes a fantastic vocal from UK singer Pippa Fulton, and has been signed to High Contrast recordings in Holland - as has the new A/B Project single "Everything Ends". Release details on both of these will follow shortly. Aside from that my DT8 remixes are due for release soon, and the full release of "Before Long" is out on 9th June, with a remix from Alex M.O.R.P.H. - and also an A/B Project Remix from Chris and I. I am presently completing two new vocal Steve Anderson tracks and also an Instrumental, one of those being a collab which is taking great shape. The SAME TV Video Podcast will finally land in the summer, and I hope to announce some more tour dates shortly as well. Meanwhile a MASSIVE thanks to you all for supporting me, it really means everything.. :-)
2008
My solo vocal tracks “Neve” and “Before Long” were supported heavily by Armin on ASOT Radio and in the clubs, with a huge global positive response to the tracks. "Before Long" also saw a release on the “Sounds In High Contrast” compilation album, and I remixed Simon Bostock "Vertical" (A/B Project Remix) as well as Adam Foley “Evolution” and DT8 Project “As The Days Grow Old”. I also expanded the podcast to become “The SAME Radio Show”, which now goes out on DI.FM, iTunes and various FM stations globally, and set up my two new labels “SAME Recordings and SAME Progressive” for 2009.
2007
A/B Project "Misconceptions" won "One For The Weekend" on BBC Radio One, and was released on Mondo Records. I built a new studio and packed in my day job to pursue my music career full time, and followed up with A/B Project tracks "Another Time" and "Relentless". I remixed Ignyta's "Lost In Control" which was licensed to compilation CD, and my label DJSA Records picked ASOT "Future Favourite" and "Tune Of The Week" awards along with major support on BBC Radio One.
2006
I toured Europe most of the year, taking Club SAturn to Tenerife, Ibiza and more. A/B Project "Eternal Optimism" won ASOT 265 Future Favourite and TATW 143 Web Votes, which we signed to Mondo Records in London. My podcast launched at iTunes in October, and listeners reached high numbers by the end of the year.
2005
I played the Miami WMC, and also teamed up with Chris Breame as production duo "A/B Project". I also played to 17,000 people at the Skye Music Festival in the summer, and finished the year working in the studio.
2004
I launched DJSA Records in the summer, and ran Club SAturn every month in Edinburgh.
2001-2004
I accepted an offer of weekly residency at Club Cube in Edinburgh, winning a BEDA award and performing live on Beat 106 Radio in Glasgow on various occasions - where I attracted a record number of listeners to the station. I also toured Greece and played various other bookings in this period.
1998-2000
"Revolution" in Edinburgh offered me weekly residency and I took the position. With the Trance explosion well under way, I knew this was the sound for me and I brought this to Revolution every Friday night.
1995-1998
The dance music of this period did not inspire me, and so I pursued boxing with all my time (winning medals as a result).
1994-1996
I was Fat Sams resident DJ alongside Dave Calikes, who tragically passed on in 1995. I vowed from that moment on that I would carry his traits forward, and treat my supporters like he did - he was a fantastic role model and influence on me. Rest in peace Dave..
1993 & Earlier
From the age of seven I was a drummer, and won local, area, national and world titles before progressed to playing drum kit in various bands. In 1991 dance music took me over and I knew then that this was for me.
