2Nice's musical career started on the reggae dancehall circuit at the tender age of 14 as Lexx diamond ."A name given to him in high school for
his weighty Raekwon collection". He started working with Daddy Noddy at
(Yush recordings) where he was schooled by Daddy Noddy & UK Reggae veterans like Ricky Ranking,Horseman, & Mickey Foreginer. This is where also joined the Fright Knight Klan which & met Golden Melody, they both went on to perform as a duo at Choice fm's Rapology, Chilin,End of term Jam & Vocal Zones with the likes of
UK Soul superstar Lemar and MOBO Award winners Glamma Kid & Pheobe One, aswell as supporting (Mad Cobra) on his UK Tour.
2Nice then went on to study Artist development, music business and performance skills at Community Music. Here he met up with the likes of (Suga-G-Zus) who along with MC Beefy introduced him to the UK Garage scene which he took a liking too and thought he could offer something different and went on to release 'Ladies Delight' on Suga-G-zus's (UMR Records). Following this 2Nice hooked up with Dj Digital (brother) and formed the 'Untouchablez' with Dj Digital, Jnr J and Drifter. This is when the ball really started rolling, going on to do big things, forming a big fan base and performing all over the UK.
Hosting a once-a-week show on Taste,Flashback,& Choice Fm with (Commander B), as well as a prime-time set on Delight Fm the Untouchablez were "hot on the air ways and on the tip of everyone's tongues". During this time they were approached by (Sound City Recordings) and released 'So Hot' featuring Leanne Marie. This song got them a whole load of pa's all over the UK supporting Lisa Roxanne & Tommi. This was courtesy of ( Mission Control ) the UK's biggest artist booking agency, who at the time looked after Daniel beddingfield,Shola Ama,Dj Luck & MC Neat,Basement Jaxx,More Fire Crew,Blazin Squad,So Solid Crew,Lisa Mafia,Oxide & Neutrino to name a few.
This also got them on the front cover of first ever RWD Magazine in 2002.
The underground hit was on the verge of being signed but due to unforeseen circumstances the deal didn't go through. Unfortunately, this upset caused some friction amongst the crew and they decided to split.
2Nice then returned to his dancehall roots and kick started he's solo career by recording 'Diamonds are Forever' an (EP) which received a lot of air play on (Bassline FM, Bouce FM,Lightning fm) and (Commander B's) night flight (Choice Fm) and got him on a tour of France with the UK's Dj Axel Foley & the french (Eternal sound system). During this time he started to collaborate with many artists some included international superstar (Mark Morrison) on the UK mix to 'Lately' and long time friend Suga-G-Zus on the song 'Shake it like that' which also followed with a video that had heavy rotation on (MTV Base)and (Channel U).
During this time 2Nice was still on the Dancehall scene recording for Curtis Lynch Juniour, & also Big league recs with international producer (Seani B) with songs like,
'G Rock' and 'More Dough' and also featured on 'Hot it up' a compilation CD with the track 'Rollin' produced by the UK's Sly & Robbie
(Mafia and Fluxy) alongside international artist like Bennie Man,Sizzla,Elephant man,& Tanya Stephens. He also featured on the 'Pum Pum Rhythm' produced by Commander B who then introduced him to Terror Danjah and recorded on his 'Cock Back Rhythm'.
(Terror Danjah) took a liking to his style and asked him to join up with the AfterShock label.
Following this 2Nice done alot of perfomances, radio tours & Gig's all over the UK and in May 2004's edition of RWD, Also Jockey Slut Magazine with Mike Skinner,Lethal Bizzle, & Tinchy Strider. On of the back of this he made his first debut release on the label
"Gangsta No" which went in straight at number 3 on (Channel U) chart, And No 1 chart position in Student Magazine "Da Bizz"
+ recieved heavy rotation from some of the UK's biggest grime dj's like
Dj Cameo(1Xtra BBC) & Logan Sama(Kiss fm) &
Big Mikey (Brimmingham's No 1 grime DJ) and DJ Spyro(Pyro Radio).
This got him performances with likes of Estelle,Swiss,JME,Skepta,& Loudmouth.
Unfortunatley during the promotion of "Gansta No" 2Nice
was admitted to hospital after suffering a serious of case epileptic seziures. Being the blessed child that he is he had a speedy recovery and was back promoting the single & in the studio+ writting songs within a month. But this festive season was come to a quick end as a month later his Father & mentor Alivin "Bigga" Blair passed away. This came as a great shock to him and was under alot of pain and stress during the mourning of his father & was unable to uphold & strengthen his Family aswell as conduct a serious musical career.
He thought that it was only right that he had a break from music and anything outside of his family life. After the burial of his father 2Nice spent some in Spain with his Grandparents. He used this time to think about
His Father,Life, himself, & his music. He came to a decision that if he was going to resume his musical career that it would be with the blessing of his Father. Being that his Father was a devout Rastafarian and always wanted him to join the faith & spread a positive message to todays youth, 2Nice thought that it was only right to fufil his fathers dreams through his music.
Arriving back from Spain 2Nice was straight back in the studio to spread the message & recored "Better Days" & "King of Kings". These two upright & positive songs opened up more doors for 2Nice getting him intrested fom Djs,Sound system and Producers all over the world (Europe,Japan,USA,Jamaica) of which he is greatful. 2Nice aims to continue his Fathers legacy & fly the flag of Rastafari through making more righteous music.
