Summertime is festival-time! Good Vibes, good music, good (german) beer and hopefully good weather are the best ingredients for a perfect party. Sentinel will rave with you on numerous festivals this year! The Kick-off will be a big (kaboom-)bang in the South Pole & Soundquake Dancehall Arena on Saturday night, July 5, on the Summerjam Festival in Cologne, Germany. Alongside the PowPow Movement from Cologne, Germany and the Far East Rulaz, Mighty Crown from Yokohama, Japan we will take it to another level that night! The european "dancehall" union has been waiting for this for months now, so you don't have to describe how a few thousand people party in a frenzy. From the sweet location of Lake of Fühlingen, Cologne, Sentinel moves on to the Mediterranean Sea to the Nowa Reggaefestival in Barcelona, Spain on July 12. After that the Luger comes back to Germany to play at the excellent Ruhr Reggae Summer in Mühlheim/Ruhr, Germany on July 25. And we are especially looking forward to the Reggaejam in Bersenbrück, Germany, on August 8, when we once again want each and everybody to have a party of their lifetime. On August 11, Sentinel will be on the Sikula Reggae Festival in Sicily, Italy, where Reggae-Music will be celebratetd with big artists like Mykal Roze and others. So get your weekends planned, organise carpools, get yourself a tent and some pasta and beer in cans and this Summer you'll be rocking with Sentinel Sound!
If you want to improve your Japanese-Skills, you can try to translate the feature on Sentinel Sound in Japan's Strive Magazine (seehere ). But you can also read about the Japan-Tour in the latest issue of RIDDIM Magazine. Nadia has summarized what happened to the crew in the land of the rising sun. Germany's Event Magazine PRINZ had a one-page article on Sentinel Sound in their may issue. They were writing about the Djs from Stuttgart and also mentioned the topic of homophobia in reggae music (seehere ). The same topic was featured in a program on the bavarian fm radio station Zündfunk, in which even Elmar said a few words on the now officially controversial subject ( Download Radioshow "Zündfunk" BR (MP3 - 56 Min)) . Also on fm radio, but on nationwide 1LIVE station, you can hear a five-minutes promotional mix from Sentinel Sound, which will be aired three times during the show "Moving Mix" (download:Moving Mix Sentinel 1LIVE).

Sentinel wins against One Love in the War Territory Clash II on may 17!
It was a few weeks before Euro 08, when Sentinel and One Love for the first time fought a hot musical battle. It probably was Italy's biggest Clash-Event in history and was promoted by the Golden Bass Sound. Sentinel was loaded with new tunes and some razor-sharp custommades, One Love had a never-ending amount of Alborosie-Dubplates and a strong fan-base. For the first time Shotta Paul also represented Sentinel Sound in a Clash and left a good impression on the crowd. After four rounds and the dub fi dub-finals, the more than 1500 dancehall-fans from all over Europe crowned Sentinel the winner. We want to say thanks to everybody and big respect to Italy's largest and longest-running Sound One Love Hi Powa who were a fair contestant in this clash!

This time we already start at 8 pm, BBQ sausages, steaks and vegetables will be on sale, but you also can bring your own stuff for the grill. Caipirinha and Cuba Libre will be on sale all night for only four euros and it will be a live Music-juggling in the biergarten. Later it will get hotter downstairs inside the club when the three sounds mentioned above will play the biggest tunes and baddest dubplates. The HipHop-Floor will be hosted by DJ Steve Supreme and Lenzageddon. Just make sure you come early, because the biggest biergarten-bbq-cocktail-summersession this year is waiting for you!
