About Me
Founded in 2000 for the love of reggae music, Civalizee has made a modest journey trough the dancehalls in Belgium & Europe. Since 2001 till 2006 , they've hosted the famous first friday's at club kaaiman in Antwerpen called "Shake your Bambam", giving the Belgian soundfans the real vintage Jamaican soundsystem vibe. Now (2007 ) they found a new residency spot at Cafe Capital located in the city park of Antwerp ... inviting sounds from Europe and beyond. Bigger , Better, but Quality is our policy
They have played on mostly all major reggae festivals and venues around such as Reggae Geel, Summerjam, U-club, Hove live, Sfinks etc.....
They played abroad the Belgium borders in Sweden , France , Netherlands, Luxemburg, Germany, Austria , Switserland, Finland ... and alongside world known acts like TOK, Gentleman, Bitty Mclean, Carlton Livingston ( wich they toured with end 2007 all over Europe ) , Downbeat the ruler, Sentinel, Supersonic sound, One Love Hi Pawa, Mighty Crown and many more to mention ...
In 2005 they stepped up in the clash arena and won the "Benelux Cup Clash" versus sounds coming from Belgium, Netherlands and Luxemburg. Wich leaded to participate in "Battle royal" soundclash 2007 killing of Guiding star from France in a musical war , followed up by "Yardclash" (Germany) were we took the trophy over 2 german sounds called baddadub and rainbow warrior.
The mission now is to spread the positive reggae vibes all around Europe on a bigger scale, Civalizee will be growing and concentrating steady on clashdances, artist promotion, music production and many more things...
