Here is how it all began...................................................... Formerly known as DJ Klass-E, now due to times changing, so has the spelling for DJ Klassy. People in the old days new what it was all about, where as nowadays; it has to be spelt out.1987-First started DJ mixing in a bar in Spain, This was where I learnt the initial idea about the art of mixing.
1989-Started DJ-in professionally when back in London, playing local gigs and promotions.
1992-Went back to Majorca .. played at some of the region..s most prestigious venues, including the well-known BCM Music Empire, the home of Majorca..s world star performances and held a residency for two seasons playing to crowds of 1,000 to 5,000
1993-After a highly successful tour of Majorca I returned to London and was approached b Passion Music/Jumpin and Pumpin Records (Now Sony) and asked to work as compiler and researcher for compilation album projects.
1994-Worked With Virgin Records on a couple of other compilation albums projects from the concept to the marketing.
1995-Completed a B-tech qualification in sound engineering, set up own recording studio.
1996-Started working for record label Deejay Recordings. Took position as record label manager, co-ordinating all releases, as well as managing recording studio.
1997-Had residency at Promised Land nights at the prestigious, End Club. Joined underground pirate radio station Passion 91.8 FM (London). Started doing late night (graveyard) shifts, then progressed through to current prime time shows.
1998-Established my own record label ..Stamp Records.. with partner Richie-Boy. With the launch of the record label party
1999-Started residency for loaded @EFCC also Club Ventura @ Covent Garden. During summer went to Ayia Napa with pirate radio station FM and played in clubs; Pzazz, Spot, Black & White as well as Napa Radio 90.9FM
2000-continued resident for loaded, had residency for 6 months with Upfront & Personal @ The Turn mills, as well as a regular guest spots in the UK, I went back and forwards to Ayia Napa through out summer season playing for Upfront & Personal and our own Stamp Records parties @Gas club, Ayia Napa. We were also filmed by channel 4 for the TV series Ayia Napa; Return to Fantasy Island. Left passion 91.8FM in November 2000 and moved to London..s Time 104.6FM (Keeping the same shows).
A 2001-With new thing on the horizon, this most certainly looks an exciting year ahead for DJ Klassy. A confirmed residency at the return of club Ventura and the confirmation of the Stamp Records Crew hosting one of the rooms at the Ministry of Sound in May. Also confirmed guest booking at Num Num..s, Charlie Vipers, Smooth (at the Ministry of Sound) and the Opera house.
