WE'RE AN UP AND COMING ALTERNATIVE FUEL SOURCE FOR THE PHOENIX AREA. WE CREATE A CLEANER AND CHEAPER FUEL FOR DIESEL VEHICLES, WITH NO CONVERSION NEEDED. WITH THE ONGOING WAR IN IRAQ AND FUEL COSTS CONTINUING TO GROW; THE DEPENDENCY ON FUEL WILL NEVER DECREASE. What is Biodiesel? Biodiesel is a diesel-like fuel derived from vegetable oil or other renewable resources. It can be made from soy or canola oil, waste cooking oil, and even animal fats. Biodiesel derived from waste cooking oil is arguably the greenest liquid fuel available because the primary ingredient is a post-consumer waste product. Environmental Benefits In 2000, biodiesel became the only alternative fuel in the country to have successfully completed the EPA-required Tier I and Tier II health effects testing under the Clean Air Act. These independent tests conclusively demonstrate biodiesels significant reduction of virtually all regulated emissions, and showed biodiesel does not pose a threat to human health. Biodiesel contains no sulfur or aromatics, and use of biodiesel in a conventional diesel engine results in substantial reduction of unburned hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and particulate matter. A US Department of Energy study showed that the production and use of biodiesel, compared to petroleum diesel, resulted in a 78.5% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions. Moreover, biodiesel has a positive energy balance. For every unit of energy needed to produce a gallon of biodiesel, 3.24 units of energy are gained.Should I consult my mechanic? Yes, certainly. However, be prepared for either raised eyebrows or skepticism. Most American diesel mechanics have only heard passing details about people converting their vehicles to run on vegetable oil. Since bad news travels quicker than good news, they have probably heard a few stories of people clogging their filters by using unfiltered oil or by using hydrogenated oil (shortening) and not allowing the heaters to properly thin the fuel, etc. They will understandably be hesitant to encourage your use of any alternative fuel, fearing your wrath if your vehicle suffers. Many of our customers instead prefer to make the fuel, fill up their tank, and stop by their mechanic's shop to show it off. Every mechanic for whom we have conducted such a demonstration walks away impressed, a bit dazed, and a little wiser on the history and amazing flexibility of diesel engines. What if I run low on my fuel, can I put petroleum diesel in my tank? Yes. You can add regular diesel into your tank at any ratio, any time. The only differences you will notice are a progressive return of the smelly petroleum diesel and a thinning of your wallet. How much will I save? How much do you drive? On average people save from $1,200 to $30,000 a year depending on whether they are an occasional driver, drive often, or drive a truck for a living. What you save depends on you. More importantly, what you do with the money you save on fuel is up to you. Take a vacation, pay off some bills, and buy something nice. It's your money. Why give so much of it to the already rich gas companies if you don't have to?
