About Me
"TrainsLeavingAngels"...the first solo record from Lee Terry, founding member of The Skellingtons (http://www.myspace.com/skellingtons)
Almost 2 years in the making, "TrainsLeavingAngels" combines elements of everything Lee has picked up on his musical journey, which began when he joined his first garage band in 1976 (he doesnt remember the name of the band!!)
The record combines elements of straight-ahead, roots rock with folk, country, blues, classical, experimental instrumental and world-music.
Recorded at Lee and Susan Terry's home studio, with a little help from their friends, Lee played the majority of the instruments himself...(he's always fancied himself a closet drummer) including guitars, bass, drums, keyboard, lap steel guitar, and dulcimer.
Aided and abetted by some of Winston-Salem's finest players, including..
Susan Terry-viola, co-producer,
Ken and Amy Mohan (of Kavish) - bass, sitar, and backing vocals.
Shannon Kerr (also of Kavish, and Fur lined Volcanoes) - drums and percussion
Dan Desnoyers (Skellingtons) - drums
Rebecca Wyatt (Splice Factor)-cello
plus, the legendary Sally Spring- backing vocals,Mixed and mastered by Ken Mohan, at Subterranean Spider Studio
