When I was 5 years old and living in Brooklyn, New York, I wanted to be a cowboy. Aside from the gender issue, the odds of having a pony in an apartment building were darn near insurmountable. Undaunted, I continued to wish for that pony.
Surprise! By my 10th birthday I had been transplanted to the deep South (Carolina) where I got my first horse, my first guitar and my first taste of turnip greens.
In Jr. High I started performing at school functions & parties and was even the "bass" player in an all girl rock & roll band. (we sucked, but we were cute)
Fast forward through marriage, motherhood, divorce and looking for love in all the wrong places, this restless woman penned her first song in a trailer park in Raleigh, NC. See, ya never know where you'll find your bliss.
Back in Atlanta I played in several bands and eventually struck out with my own original project. Still looking for true love and a good bass player, enter Dave Webb (wearing a cowboy hat no less) ....check off two more dreams.
Today I have three albums of original music under my belt and a fourth due out late 2007. I've lived in Nashville for four years, I've made some great friends, written and played with some amazing talents (see my friends list), had a couple of jazz and R&B cuts and two pending country cuts.....and if all my dreams don't come true well, it's still been a great ride!

The focus of One Horse Town is Mullinix's beautiful voice, which struts across all 10 songs with the jaunty pride of a Tennessee Walker. ~Gregory Nicholl, Creative Loafing
