This MySpace page is a tribute to Ted Gärdestad - a swedish musician.
Ted has a very special place in every Swedish heart. Ted had a very strong personality and Ted was just Ted... he never pretended. Kenneth's lyrics and Ted's composing turned them into Swedish Pop Icons. Ted grew up with his parents and 2 older brothers, Kenneth and Kjell in Sollentuna. Kenneth wrote all the lyrics and Ted did all the music. Ted loved sports and was very successfull tennisplayer, but Björn Borg wons both time they met. Ted then went into the music-business. The debutalbum "Undringar" was released in 1972 and the debut single "Hela världen runt/Sommarlängtan" was released in 1971. Ted was only 15-16 years of age. Ted's first breakout was the song "Jag vill ha en egen måne".
