About Me

Hi, I'm plexirob cause I love the sound from old plexi Marshall's. I'm in my plus thirties, and I'm just about to finnish up my BA, at The University of Linkoping, Sweden. I'm also deeply involved in The board of studies at The University of Linkoping, Sweden, In a position as a student representative for the Music-producer program. We have just signed an agrement with Paisley University, Scotland. This way I get to travel, also have the privilege to met alot of different people, and also to hear a lot of different music too. I'm one of those guys who collects old microphones and stuff. I have my own studio, were I spend most of my time soldering, recording and producing bands. The purpus with this site is to put out work I'm currently are up to in my studio, but also showcase myself as a Guitarist, Engineer and Music-producer. I have been recording since I was 17 teen years. So there has been some cutting tapes over the years! I'm a mac user, and my prefered platform is logic pro 7. But I have the philosophy that you get a more genuine sound if you blend in analog technique with nowdays digital. So I still have a Nashville made mixing console, unfortunate I have not had the time to solder it together yet. But the idea is to connect digital equipment with old, in order to get a warmer sound.I'm also a California freak, I love the Californian sound of music, and I had the luck to spend three years there at Musicians Institute in HollyWEIRD. The intstitution was ok, but whats really inspired me was the privilege to watch all my favorite musicians every night at "the baked potato (potatoes the size of a human head!)", "The Mint" Mike Landau, Ted his brother, and many more. God damn I miss that place, and I guess the Bush administration would not make it easier to move there! What can I say more about my self? Well, get in touch with me to find out more, dont hesitate! What kind of people am I interested in?Music freaks! Gear Junkies, Cool people! Down to earth people! Straight forward people! Music Net Working (MNW)!!! Note: I'm not in here for any sexually, pornographic or any datingsystem shit. I'm really sick of all pumped up blond chic's, so if you feel that you fall under this category get your self to the nearest salvation army and donate your silicon to them. Option? There are twelve steps programs for most addictions, try them out! This video is a University project produced fall ´05, to find out more about this video click the blue link optional ending Optional ending

Band Members: plexirob, a 1968 plexisuperlead, pink strat, PowerMac G5, Logic Pro 7 and lots of other gear, and if I get to use them with other musicians, I'm in heaven!
Influences: Jesus, my Mother, who really is the only person in my life that allways supported me in any way, or in decisions I have made. She has guided me through my sometimes stupid decisions I've made in my life. In Music? there are so many so I could not fit them in here. To name a few, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Edward Van Halen, Michael landau, Steve Lukather etc. These are the guys who made me pick up the guitar in the first place. Further I have so many other influences, there are so many talented people around, who inspire me every day. Currently my good friend Gustaf "Goodstuf" Thörn's latest project "midori" is something you definitely should check out! My good friend www.myspace.com/diggerman is also something you have to check out, he's one of the most productive persons I know. Miss Heatherclad moor, that I have had the privilege to work with is also something that inspires me alot. She is definitely one of the most talented female singer I know. I'm very grateful having friends like them! Please check their myspace sites out!
Sounds Like: It depends on what I'm working with, I try as a producer/Guitarist to bring out the best from the artists/bands, without interfering in their unique style. Lately I have been more and more into studio psychology. That could be for instance a case like; bringing my laptop, soundcard, a couple of great micpremps and couple of microphones over to the artist, and record were he or she feelt secure and confident! Other artists may have other requests, and maybe wants to do the recording in a totally different way. Its here were you have to be very flexible in your personality through out the recording process. This is a very interesting perspective, becoming more and more important to me! The latest real project I was involved with was recording "MOLOTOV JIVE's" debut album, positioned as Mr. Alar Suurna's right hand. Check Molotov Jive out in my friends list. Alar Suurna is one of Swedens first call music-producer. Check him out at http://www.shortlist.se/allarts
