I am here for Friends

About Me

Greetings, I was born with the name Dante Gabriel Rossetti in London, England on May 28, 1828 and died in Kent on April 9, 1882. My spirit, or ghost if you will has been floating about in a sort of limbo and seems to have landed within this thing called the internet. It is a strange place to haunt indeed. In life I was an artist and poet. It seems some of my work survived. As well as some of the work of my friends and lovers. I was a brash young artist when I and several others formed what became to be known as the Pre-Raphealite Brotherhood. I fell in love often but my greatest love was for my bride Elizabeth, a fine artist herself. After several years of poverty and bliss she took herself away from me by way of death. I was never again the same. She died of sorrow and I lived on in sorrow with the constant aid of opium, laudanum and absinth. Lovers and muses came and went but I longed for my Lizzie. Is her spirit here I wonder....
