About Me

The Los Angeles Theatre Ensemble is a not-for-profit arts organization dedicated to staging theatre works of high artistic integrity while endeavoring to remain broadly accessible and genuinely entertaining. The ensemble holds fast in its commitment to strike a balance between providing a venue for emerging artists and veteran artists; between the works of new playwrights, and revisiting timely and important classics. Our ensemble nourishes an open artistic affinity where a free-flow of artists, ideas, and philosophical debate keeps us engaged in our community and proactive in our pursuit of excellence. The ensemble embraces the challenges that face Los Angeles based theatre artists interested in theatre as a means to unique artistic expression and not merely a vehicle for showcasing aspiring film actors. We hope to provide an artistic home and sanctuary for genuine theatre artists striving to bring meaningful performances to Los Angeles, and we look forward to collaborating with the many other worthy local theatre groups on the difficult but achievable objective of redefining Los Angeles as a “theatre town.”
