Check out this Review from the Babbacombe Theatre show on Oct 13 2007
On Saturday night I went along to The Babbacombe Theatre to watch ‘The New Machine’ playing Pink Floyd…..and what a night. I was sat four rows back from the front and it took until mid-day on Sunday for my ears to stop buzzing/bleeding!!
Anyone who says that ‘Tribute Bands are second best’ really ought to watch these guys perform…..they are truly excellent. Ok, so the drummer was a little scary (Capt Caveman springs to mind) but the vocals, lighting and sound was just superb. It was a quality performance from a band that obviously really enjoys what they do.
These guys can really perform. I would really recommend getting tickets for any future gig. Like me, you do not have to be a Floyd Fan to appreciate good music and a great performance. After Saturday night I will be returning my Wurzels CD to the bottom drawer and dusting off my copy of Dark side of the Moon.

What is a damned good tribute band thinking by playing something new and original? For those of you who consider tribute bands to be a shadow of the 'real' bands - check out Interstellar Rockstar - A cracking good song which was greeted by polite applause. Originality is all good and well, but the crowd wanted songs they already knew. What chance do you have to make it as an originals band?
Well, I liked it!

The New Machine,

They are dedicated to playing progresive rock music with Passion Creativity and Love
We Hope You’ll Be Joining Us There!

The New Machine have received high acclaim for their ability to capture the essence of Pink Floyd with their performance of love, passion and energy.
They are remembered in Torbay for their outstanding performance at the 2001 Aquaculture concert at Princess Gardens.

The Upcoming shows will see the band perform many classic Floyd songs from Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall, Wish You Were Here and Division Bell and will be truly Multi-Media experience enhanced by a state of the art light show, great projections and Hi-Fi sound.

The Band has secured exclusive permission from Pink Floyd to release a CD album containing 12 classic Pink Floyd songs recorded by The New Machine.

The Album is entitled “Interstellar Rockstar” an original song which reached 49 in the Rolling Stone mp3 chart and is the title track from the album.

The New Machine are signed to Mark 1 Records, an Independent Label set up by band leader; Mark Emery. Along with The New Machine’s album "Interstellar Rockstar", recent releases include Bryn Morgan Evans' posthumous album “Dare 2 Believe”. and soon to be released, the long awaited single of "Another Brick in the Wall" featuring the very talented Rapper MC Coleman.

The New Machine Line up of Mark Emery on guitars and vocals, Jai D on drums and vocals , Nigel Pike on bass and Paul Matthews on keyboards will be re-joined on stage by talented Vocalists from the original line-up, Dani Turner and Sam Scott; they will perform “The Great Gig in the Sky” and provide quality harmony vocals throughout the show.

Dani, who now lives in Hastings, also fronts an AC/DC and Led Zeppelin and Tina Turner tribute bands as well as working on her own album. Not just a singer I might add! Dani also plays the drums, guitar and bass and is currently learning keyboards and harmonica to aid her song writing for own album.

Sam loves to sing the Blues and performs regularly with the areas top Jazz and Blues musicians.

We'd like to thank Ree De Lacey for her hard work and performances on the album as well as bringing Luke (MC Coleman) and Bryn to the band.
