About Me

This month the Street Talk website is dedicated to Fashion and Style: Whatever we throw on in the morning or spend 3 hours the night before preparing-somehow represents us and is likely to be an indication of who we hang out with, where we go and the sort of music we listen to! Even if u don’t bother at all that’s a choice in its self and a reflection of who you are!In this day and age we are bombarded with images of beauty where fashion and style is more important than feelings and personal expression. Where either anorexic or surgically enhanced models are taken as the norm and are an example to us all!Tell us what you think, send us your thoughts, oppinions, comments, ideas, pictures and videos!!!Street Talk is an internet youth magazine where what you want to write about goes up. So if there’s a youth band that wants to get noticed, someone who is passionate about writing and wants to share it with others, or a photographer with an eye for a good picture, we’re looking for all this and more - photos, interviews, comments, ideas, videos, articles and stories. We want to cover all walks of life including: The various controversial aspects of modern life, the increasing dependence on technology; discrimination, skateboarders, BMXers, graffiti artists, sports, fashion, music, dancers, campaigns, people with strong opinions and everything else. You’re comments, thoughts, views and ideas needed. My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Evolution - A Dove Film

This video makes you realise why so many people think they aren’t pretty/good looking/attractive, all their role models are just computer images. The people we see every day, in the paper, magazines on the TV and bill boards are not real people at all! Is it a wonder we have young girls across the world who are anorexic, woman having plastic surgery, trying to make themselves look like those images of what are supposed to be real woman but who aren’t?

Books:

here's the results of the fashion writing competitionAfter a lot of time and thought we decided we couldn’t decide between Blue is The New Black by Michele and What's Kewl isn't necessarily Cool by Krissy Burns so we are going to have two firsts with prize’s of £40 each with a runner up prize of £20 for Is What You Wear a Statement by Gemma Coghlan. Thanks to everyone who entered! We were spoilt for choice, each piece expressed a very interesting opinion on fashion! Some the same, many different! But all valid! It was great to see that so much passion and thought had gone into these pieces, people seemed to really know what they were talking about and that came across to the reader! Thanks again to all,The administration team x
