The Nigua
The Nigua is a Progressive Rock band originated in Spain by Toni Garrido(he was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) and Lidya Boteva(she was born in Sofia, Bulgaria), they recorded and mixed a CD in a computer, recording the guitars Live! and programmed the rest of the instruments in a sequencer.

A nigua is also a tropical insect that sucks blood for a living, although a nigua sucks very little drops, it leaves some spots in the skin of the one it feeds from. The band likes to approach the name The Nigua this way: the band takes some blood (attention) to leave spots (impressions) in the mind of the listener The Nigua would like to transmit through their music images and emotions to people's minds. All of their themes have different meanings, and they do not intend to just transmit a style of music or recording techiques. They don't care about that! The intention is that people can see their own images and feel their own emotions. The list below only explain some of the things they see and feel. The Door: There is always something behind a door. If it is a new door for you, then you may like what's in the other side or maybe you won't, the only way to know that is to open the door. If you're curious, open it, it may lead you to another door or doors! Carnasex: a carnival of sex where everyone does what they really like without, of course, forcing anybody to do anything they don't want to do. A carnival of intense sexual own emotions meeting the emotions of the one or ones that would fit in one's mind. Poetry Fountain: a magical fountain found in a magical forest, having this fountain several outflows, each bursting with different mixed emotions, some of them make you happy, some others sad or confused, some will make you cry as the primitive child within you and others will show future visions. Pleasure: it begins softly, unaware, and keeps slowly growing, building itself up until its presence is felt without a doubt, driving us to stronger step where we have no control, exploding into a frenzy climax and disappearing in the same way it began. I Want: Listen to the voices living in this world, shame they feel because they are not the voices of this world, but they want it. They desperately want what they don't understand, how can they posses when they don't know what possesion is? Voices with flesh and bones, learn on to go beyond! Laurelindorinan: inspired in the J.R.R.Tolkien's woods where Galadriel lived in the Third Age of the Middle Earth, here meaning a place of peace and wisdom where we once lived and someday will return, a place connected to our minds. Sometimes we feel it is very far in Time and Space, sometimes we can feel we're almost there, but the predominat feeling is Melancholy.
Here in Myspace you can only listen to part of 6 compositions (except "The Door" which is complete) of The Nigua first CD "Will They Understand?" that contains 10 tracks. The Nigua hopes you'll get your own visions.
