Der Trieb

..Aus einer ab 1986 kreativ tätigen, anfänglich wechselnden großen Session- Besetzung kristallisierte sich die heutige Formation heraus, die sich seit 1987 "DER TRIEB" nannte.Diese Band machte immer wieder von sich reden, weil die Konzerte nie langweilig waren. Ungewohnte Klänge, manchmal fast psychedelisch anmutende Improvistationsmusik, gemischt mit hartem Rock und Jazzrock, angereichert mit Elementen aus der Worldmusic und der Neuen Musik. DER TRIEB nannte dies schlicht und einfach Free- Rock (heute wird dies gern Prog- Rock genannt).Dazwischen flochten die findigen Musiker immer wieder Songs mit Garagenmentalität, hauptsächlich aus der Feder von Gez Zirkelbach oder Uli Stiefel.Neben Auftritten in Clubs und an den Universitäten in Stuttgart und Karlsruhe wurden Aufführungen in Zusammenarbeit mit Malern, Filmern und Schauspieler/innen realisiert, so z.B. bei "Liebheimatland" eine Malmusikperformance zu Hölderlins Gedicht "Heimat" im Rathaus in Schorndorf (1989, SWR TV- Bericht, Video) oder die Aktion "Raum- Frei" zum Abriss der alten Manufaktur in Schorndorf (1991, Video).Ebenso wurden auch ungewöhnliche Orte bespielt: Der Schorndorfer Herbstsalon I u. II (1987, 1989), die Autowerkstatt Magerl und Stanek mit der "Auto- Therapie" (1992, Video) und "Beat & Prosa" nach Hubert Fichte mit Schauspieler/innen am Staatstheater in Stuttgart (1995).1995 reduzierte sich die Band zum Quartett, 1997 kam es zur vorläufigen Trennung. In verschiedenen Besetzungen entwickelten sich die Musiker weiter so z.B. bei den Rockbands "Der Weg", "Invisible Means" und "Jazzpolice" oder bei den bestehenden "Rock Connexion" und den Avantgarde- Jazzrockern "Berühr den Ton" und bei diversen Solo- Duo- und Trioformationen.Seit 2004 ist DER TRIEB wieder in der "Urformation" vereint und legte 2004 die 1. offizielle CD vor, die an einem Sonntagnachmittag in den PURE-SOUND-MUSIC Studio's mit Marc Daniels als Recording Engineer eingespielt wurde. Hierbei hat DER TRIEB hauptsächlich auf eigenen alte Songs zurückgegriffen, aber auch neue Stücke realisiert. Mit "Colours" bieten die Musiker einen ersten Blick auf ihre große Farbpalette. Das Stück Colours allerdings ist nun erst auf der zweiten CD von Der Trieb zu finden eine Aufnahme live im Roadhaus in Schorndorf von 2006 mixed by Joe Saling. Die Musik und Malperformance The Boat wurde 2006 gemeinsam mit Karsten Kretschmer und Helmut Anton Zirkelbach erfolgreich im Kulturhaus Schwanen in Waiblingen aufgeführt. 2007 gab es in der Schorndorfer Kunstnacht Folge II und III in der derselben Besetzung. Bei beiden Aufführungen waren jeweils über 200 Menschen begeistert. 2008 ware wir mit Scapha Gmundia bei der Gmünder Art in the city of Schwäbisch Gmünd...und es geht weiter...Malerei und Musik 2009, im Franz.K. in RT und Auftritte in stuttgart u.a. im LAB.DER TRIEB ist wieder unter uns.ENGLISH: From a from 1986 creatively, at first changing big session-instrumentation the today's formation crystallized out, wich was called since 1987 DER TRIEB.Because the concerts were never dull, this band made talk about them over and over again. Between the resourceful musicians twisted over and over again songs with garage mentality, principally from the feather of Gez Zirkelbach or Uli Stiefel.Near appearances in clubs and at the universities in Stuttgart and Karlsruhe performances were realized in collaboration with painters, film-makers and actors and actresses, thus, e.g., with "Liebheimatland" a paint-music-performance to Hölderlins poem "Heimat" in the city hall in Schorndorf (1989, SWR TV-report, video) or the action "Raum-Frei" to the demolition of the old manufacture in Schorndorf (1991, video).Also unusual places were also reutilized: the Schorndorfer autumn-salon I u. II (1987, in 1989), the garage Magerl and Stanek with the "car therapy " (1992, video) and "Beat & Prosa" after Hubert Fichte with actors and actresses in the state theater in Stuttgart (1995).In 1995 the band decreased to the quartet, in 1997 it came to the temporary separation. In different instrumentations the musicians enhanced, so e.g., with the rock bands "Der Weg", "Invisible Means" or with the existing "Rock Connexion" and the avant-garde-jazz-rockers "Berühr den Ton", the experimental blues-jazzers to "Jazzpolice" and various duet and trio formations.Since 2004 DER TRIEB is united again in the "primal-formation" and now presents the 1. official CD which was recorded on sunday afternoon in the PURE-SOUND-MUSIC Studio's with Marc Daniels as a recording engineer. On this occasion, DER TRIEB has fallen back principally on own old songs, but has also realized new pieces. With "Colours" the musicians offer the first glance for her big color pallet. In 2006 they present the second CD der trieb live, recorded and mixed by Joe Saling at Roadhaus in Schorndorf. The music and painting performance BOAT with the Painters Karsten Kretschmer and Helmut Anton Zirkelbach was realized in Waiblingen, Schwanen 2006 and in Schorndorf, Manufaktur 2007, Scapha Gmundia 2008 in Schwaebisch Gmuend and it will go on 2009.DER TRIEB is again among us.
