Mass is a 23 year old blazing up and coming HIP HOP producer. A huge fan ofhip hop in it's purest form Mass studies/respects the work of great producerslike J Dilla, Kanye West, 9th Wonder, Dr. Dre, MadLib, Pete Rock, and DJPremier amongst others. His preferred style of old school sample based hiphop more closely resembles the golden era of hiphop (1988-1995) withfiltered bass lines and the hard hitting 12-bit drums. Make no mistake though,Mass is not a generic one dimensional clone he's more of a beatoligist. Andin his lab he creates a hybrid of sound by fusing interesting samples, with anassortment of instruments, at varying tempos to create music that will treatthe boredom of your ears. Mass is currently producing Detroit artistBobophett sophomore album titled “Bo Knows”. Scheduled to drop early2007, and working on a mix tape to showcase some of Detroit’s hottestunderground artist. Mass is a big fan of the Detroit underground rap sceneand has recently finished his "Obese Beats...." instrumental series. ObeseBeats is a collection of tracks that displays Mass at his finest.
