The aim of this fund-raising gigathon? The end of the day and it gets dark. No, seriously. This is a charity gig, and the aim is for us to try and raise as much as possible for the charity dedicated to caring for and supporting the children, young people and families affected by cancer every step of the way.. We do have a few initial costs (which we have received great rates on, thanks Spring and Airbrake), but ideally we want to try to cover those costs so every penny raised on the day goes to charity. We are open to donations, and all donations will be made directly through the charity. Please, if you would like to make a donation of any amount, then contact me through any of the mentioned channels and I can supply details of where and how to make payment. Think of how easily you would spend £10 on a dvd, cd, bottle of vodka, whatever your vice may be. And think of the good cause you would be helping in the process. If you know any local businesses who would be willing to offer raffle prizes, again, contact me with the details. Anyone willing to help with the fund-raising effort in any way will be personally thanked here, and also publically on the day of the gig itself.Remember, the better raffle prizes we have, the more money we can raise for charity! Don't just think about helping:At Valentine Metal Massacre we raised £1100 for fmsni! We have just completed an 11 mile sponsored walk from holywood to Bangor - check out the pic slideshow. We raised approx £1000 towards the cost on the day ! Thanks to everyone who did it, supported me by sponsoring and wellwishes
How does this affect us in Northern Ireland ?Each week in Northern Ireland two children and young people are diagnosed with cancer or leukaemia.
