WRATHBLADE

Wrathblade is a band from Athens,Greece. The first line up took place after the departure of Chris Mosalos (guitars) from Raging Storm in the end of 2003, together with Nick Varsamis (vocals) and George Koumparoulis (bass), both members of the epic/doom band Litany. After a few changes in the drummer's position, Nick Papadopoulos from Battleroar joined in 2004 and Nick Sotiriou (guitars) was the final member to complete the line up and start rehearse in a regural basis. The first songs that were completed were "Defend the metal faith", "In metal we trust", "Dragonwolf" and "Warlord's return". In January of 2005, Giannis Alexandrakis (Arpyian Horde,Foredoomed) replaced Nick Papadopoulos that due to personal obligations he had to depart from Wrathblade. The band now completes some new songs like "Titanomakhia", "Triton the trumpeter", "Reins of doom", "God defying Typhoeus". The first live shows are already given and Wrathblade are honoured to have shared the stage with incredible bands such as Domine, Old Season, Battleroar, Strikelight, Marauder, Sacred Blood, Valor and many more... The time is finally near for the first official release and in spring of 2006, the first single is out. Under the label of Eat Metal Records, who are brothers and friends above all, "War of the Titans" is being released in CD and 7 inch vinyl format in a limited edition of 500 copies each. Two songs are included which are "Titanomakhia" and "Defend the metal faith" and the CD version also contains two live videos of "Defend the metal faith" and "God defying Typhoeus". The first reviews are quite enthousiastic, something that satisfies the efforts of the band that at the same time completes a new song entitled "Signs of wrath". Forthcoming release will be Hail Brittania Vol. 2, a split 7 inch with doomsters The Gates of Slumber by the Miskatonic Foundation of our brother Rich Walker (Solstice/Isen Torr). Wrathblade will cover "Hold back the lightning" by U.K's gods, Tyrant. The purpose and goal of Wrathblade is ONE!!! Being a company of five friends to produce bombastic, furious and hellish metal sharing stage with other killer bands of the underground heavy metal scene!!!
