Who are we, or more accurately, who am I? Am I a voice in the wilderness of musical mediocrity and rot, an iron fist smashing into the face of every poser and parasite? An instigator of morbid and dread inducing vista's of real Heavy metal from the depths of the underground?
Whatever I am, or the label becomes, a handful of things remain constant. That the label was started to give voice to the bands I love and who's music I find challenging, and exciting. Bands who could turn their hands to creating works befitting the written word of Lovecraft, Howard and Smith, within the framework of Heavy Metal. That the label remains independent, and runs on a grass roots level prefering to design, manufacture and distribute titles by myself with the least involvement from third parties as possible. That I or the bands who I have the honour to release music by, never while under the Miskatonic name, become a cog in the music industry machine and pander to the glossy magazines and their easily manipulated writers.
I don't care if you like me, like the label, or like the bands. This is not an exercise in public relations or to win credibilty points or more album sales. You can take your opinions and insert them into your anal cavity, violently. Go fuck yourselves. Only metal is real.......Those if you who stand beside me against all the odds, to create and enjoy truely INDEPENDENT music, I hail you.
