Sinister Tales is a band formed to practice puritanical, occult and totaly heavy DOOM METAL. Our sound is what it is because it is the way it has to be; we do not compromise, we take no prisoners and we are built to knock you down. This is the one and only concept behind the music, inspired by the masters Saint Vitus, Pentagram, Revelation, Black Sabbath and Celtic Frost. We make our metal as pure as it can be, against open-mindedness and digitalized weak shit.
Back in 1999 two crazy Greeks visited Northern England for studying at Huddersfield University. Back then the guitarist/singer John Argyrakis was playing in a band in Greece called Oak. But as for everything distance is a great problem and resulted in the project to gradualy end. But the passion for Doom Metal didn't end with the band. Three years later after loads of practicing and composing he met Ioanna Koundouraki (bass) and became friends. After loads of discusions and beer drinking they found out they shared the same passion for Doom Metal. The first jam took place one gloomy night of 2002 and Sinister Tales were born.
After five years of playing the band is finally ready to release its debut album called Doomoccult vol.1 on their own Dunwich Horror recs. At this point we would like to thank Wan Malachi (Chorus of Ruin) for agreeing to play drums on the album without whose help things would have been even harder for Sinister Tales. Cheers mate!
