PICTURE THIS: It's the late ninties and the last thing i want is another grunge good-for-nothin' band,let alone the "metal" scene!Helloween clones and riffless,sololess Nu "Metal" monkeys.So there i am(me=Witchkiller)sittin' on my favourite sofa and listenin' to Jhon (GOD)Lee Hookers' "Letter To My Ex" just after finishin' listenin' to the almighty "METAL INQUISITION" from the lengendary Canadian metal gods Piledriver(yeah,yeah,i know,what a surprise Witchy).
Just before i got to finish my glass of Southern Comfort i got a call from my friend,Stormtrooper(Throat) sayin' "Man,i'm listenin' to Armageddon-Kratos-right now and my dick is skyhigh so guess what:let's form a band,let's play some Heavy"motherfuckin'" Metal the way we dig it."I said "ok".So there we were,we had no name,no band,just a few riffs and A HUGE URGE TO BE FILTHY!
After a couple of months some friends:Billy The Kid on guitar,Iron Mike"The Basskiller" on the bass and Hellhound on the drums joined in and that MY DEAR KIDS was the first Steamroller Assault line up.
Unfortunely Iron Mike decided to split on August 2000 but thank CRONOS(CRONOS=GOD)his place was soon to be filled by the perverted asshole Zestorer!
On spring 2001(and after one year of rehearsing)we started recordin' our self titled,self financed cd wich was finished just about 3-4 months later(take into consideration that we were recording 1-2 days/per week 'cause we have our day time jobs too).'Round Octomber Hellhound decided to split due to mussical differances.A good friend of the band,Mad Dog,Joined in giving the band a necessary kick in our lazy assess!
After releasing it we started gigin' with bands like Shadowplay(now makin' history as X-PIRAL),Celestial Ode(Goddamned great band with class!!!!),Bloodstained,Verdict,Powercrue and more.
Doin' nothin' in particular but rehearsin' and gigin',3 years later we started recording our second cd under the name "Raw 'n' Filthy".
In the Summer of 2005 Stormtooper made a hard decision and called it a day as far him being a member of the band was the matter.The gap was huge but luck smiled on Steamroller Asaault as Nick"THE METAL MACHINE"Mpouras was available at that time,diged the band and joined in spilling his laughns on the mike!
Having problems with our daytime jobs it took us a while to get the recordind and mixing ready but,once again,thank CRONOS it's ready and will be available soon.
So here we are,bangin' chicks,bangin' our heads,bangin' our dicks(when we're out of chicks) and plaing dirty,rude,filthy,Heavy Metal/Rock 'n' Roll loud as fuck(or fukk if you prefer)!
