Suhaila Salimpour was my first biggest influence and still is my major influence. I have studied through video, which began about 3-years ago. I love belly dancing. It is fun and brings joy to me. I have not performed in public yet ;) I've purchased lots of costume outfits and pieces and am now collecting my jewelry; making myself a coin bra. Any suggestions are most welcome :)
When I was growing up, my parents ballroom danced and although I didn't care for it then, dancing was something I loved since my 20's. I grew up in the Sacramento suburbs; lived in Hawaii 7-8 years; and have been in Florida since 2000. Update: mid-May 2006 and I'm just starting to meet belly dancers in Florida :)
