Retro-pop styles of bellydance and other styles from exotic locations - from old Hollywood depictions in the 1940's ('Salome Where She Danced' for example; Yvonne DeCarlo was a vision!) all the way to the early 1970's. From cinema to clubs and television. There is a distinct style of performance & appearance that isn't so frequently seen these days- that which included a sense of humor. I'd like to do my part in bringing some of that back, and perhaps adding a bit of innovation to boot.
Ah- to dance for a "00"...Lure your Favorite he or she Creature with this swell Marina the Fire Eating Mermaid T-shirt!Http://www.cafepress.com/pinupshotrods
Okay- Now what exactly does this "Stunt dancer" do? Well, if a video/film producer needs to find an alternative to a lets say, "sane" dancing girl, they go out and find one willing to do something dangerously silly for an entire video shoot. (Heh- Guess I've got a reputation for that kind of thing.) The result? A neat-o addition to a video! I also am known for my underwater exploits- Yup~ I'm an underwater bellydancer as well. Here is a video for Lola Dutronic's rendition of Carol Kane's "Porpoise Song"; previously sung by The Monkees for their movie: "Head"
Retro-fabulous EVERYTHING! I love watching different depictions of belly and other "exotic" dancers (before the term was attached to stripping) in movies, books and television shows. Yes- I would have jumped in the pool at the end...
Anyone willing to try something a little out of the ordinary.
