About Me

Hi, I'm Itay Abramovitz, an Israeli musician, composer, arranger, musical producer & a piano player. I was born in a musical family: my grandfather was a very respectful Rabi (hazan) of the Jewish community in Tunisia. You can find here some other musicians of my family in my "Top Friends" - my brother & 2 cousins (guess who...)
My musical work concentrates mainly in Latin music of all kinds, which I love the most. I spent 1 year in Cuba, investigating Cuban music & culture to the bone, learning more & more about all different styles & getting to know the right atmosphere. In Havana I recorded some of my original songs featuring some of the best Cuban singers & musicians in a local recording studio. That was a great & exciting experince for me.
Nowadays me & my partner Roni Iwrin (one of Israel's great percusionists, born in Uruguay), run Kimbombo , which is our Latin music band, featuring the greatest singers & musicians in Israel in the field of Afro-Cuban music & Salsa. Visit also Kimbombo's Website (now available in Hebrew only): www.kimbombo.com
My recording studio is located in Givatayim & is available for almost all studio works: full musical productions for singers & groups, composing, unique arrangements for all kinds of orchestrations, recording with best musicians in all instruments, Live or computer based playbcks, etc. The studio is big, air conditioned and has lots of free parking places.
Here are some pics of the studio:
My musical resume includes work with: David Broza (salsa arrangements for his music, live concerts, recordings), Pablo Rosenberg (musical production, live shows, recordings), Swingle singers (vocal arrangement), Laila Malcos (arrangements, live shows), Black Velvet (live shows, recordings), Jerusalem Salsa Band (live shows, arrangements), musical director of Ruben Solomon 's upcoming 1st solo cd, to name a few.
