Zaak is a singer, song writer from Israel, performing since 1997 with his music all around the country.Has had several songs on the radio and an animated video clip on the national music channel. Produced/ wrote the track "FOR", on the "9 beach summer collection" album. Since 1998 has been performing all around the globe with the MAYUMANA group- www.mayumana.com- An international percussive group, for over 400 shows.Also taking part in the new show "BEHUNTOS"- a collaboration between MAYUMANA and DAVID BROZA . Since 2005 acting in the national "HABIMA" theater- www.habima.co.il-the d.j in "TAXI" / playing in the musical hit "KING SALOMON &SHALMAI THE CARPENTER ". Since 2006 performing with the biggest salsa band in the country WALAKATA and singing along side LAYLA MALKOS,HERMAN OLIVERA.. www.myspace.com/walakata.Has been performing with songs from his début album "DEEP BREATH". The songs were produced by zaak and D.J PHILIPPE ZDAR, a well known French d.j.& producer (CASSIUS/MOTORBASS), who has worked with JAMIROQUAI, PHARELL, TEXAS, MC.SOLAR... and is considered one Of the pioneers of "French house" (Air/STGermain/Daft punk). the album was recorded live after working for some time with 2 great musicians, BEN HENDLER on the bass,and TAMIR BARZILAY on drums, all guitares played by zaak. The songs were recorded & mixed both in Tel-Aviv and Paris, by DEDI COHEN,JEFF DOMINGUEZ and ZDAR,Mastering was done by IAN COOPER at "Metropolis" studios in London.These days performing all around, and working on his second album, trying to combine more local Influences , therefore writing more songs in Hebrew and collaborating with local artists.
