Mike represents all he believes in and shares it with others through the language of music.Born in Harlem NYC, date left unknown...he brings the NY attitude and skills to the German HipHop scene. Starting in 1977, when HipHop was still rare to most of todays fans, he built his style and “ways� in NY till 1980 moving down South and eventually ending up in Germany in 1982. The chance to perform with his cousin Kurtis Blow sent him on tour, and in 1995 he had his first release named “Da Homelanders, 4 Rotations�, with Public Attack also known as the Ultimate HipHop label. Da Homelanders went on to win first price in “The Sound Of Fashion- Newcomerwettbewerb� for C&A and were featured on VIVA’s World Cup. 1997 Mike started working on something new (allways). Mike and another music-lover came up with another idea with Lions Den. Made an independent label called Lions Den Records. Mike and his Lions Den family came out on April 14, 2000 with One Love the universal language of HipHop Vol.1 with a low budget. The HipHop movement still moves on! In between time Mike bounces from club to club, city to city, sharing his love for music to all. Looking at the time of late 2000 Mike brakes away from Lions Den family and one of his best MC brakes with him (E.V.L.). Mike also connect with one of his old HipHop pals Blabbwona aka Wonablabb and created the Forein Natives. The Foreign Natives have perform there unique sounds in Opium in Frankfurt/Main, Bashline Disco in Madrid ( Spain). So the story goes on and Hip Hop lives on. Mike La Rock has left a mark with all those who appriciate and feel the combination of years of learning and creating a style that represents his home, his heart and devotion for the love of HipHop and bringing it to you only the way THE AMAZING KOOL DJ MIKE LA ROCK can...
