About Me

Read first and very carefully!
1. A NOTE ESPECIALLY FOR ALL THE BANDS ON MySpace!

Read my profile! I will only add you if I like what you play. If you are only here to raise your number of friends or to spam profiles with your promostuff get fucking lost!
2. A NOTE FOR ALL THE ARIOSOPHIC, RACIST AND FASCIST IDIOTS OUT THERE
If I find "friends" in your list (and I always check the profiles before adding!) or interests that show that you are into ariosophic, racist or fascist things get fucking lost, too! This includes bands with a nazibackground!

AUF DEUTSCH: ARIOSOPHIEDRECK, NAZISCUM, RASSENQUATSCH NICHT MIT MIR!
DA GILT STROPHE 5 DES LIBER OZ!

93!
31 years old -Proud "Old European" if I'm allowed to use the words of the current US government - Scientific Education (Historical Sciences/Mediavistic) - First I have to apologize for my bad english. I'm not a native speaker of the english tongue especially the american version (but hey at least I've learned 4 languages (poor french, almost good latin and english and my native german language)... Thelemit (member of the Hoori Sakhmet Oasis of Ordo Templi Orientis, a co-masonic body and magickal order), vegetarian, and well what else? Find it out (on your own free will...)
93! 93/93!
My own songs (always remember I do this just for fun, it is my hobby and I play bass, guitar, synths, the programming of the drumcomputers and I sing, so it is a one man project), just for those of you who are interested:

MUSIC AND LYRICS WRITTEN BY FRANK:

Das Schwarze Tier

Dark Wave/Gothic with electronic sounds from my Novation and Yamaha Synths

This deathlike silence

Gothicrock, cold and very minimalistic

Im Schatten der Nacht

Gothicrock with a lot of flanging soundwalls, very poor quality but listenable, lost the cubase file :(

The Gates of Baldar (Tribute to the Externsteine)

Just rock, a little bit Indiestyle, but just rock, two evenings and a bottle of red wine

YOU THELEMITES SHOULD CHECK OUT
LIBER OZ
for an example of thelemic musick between electronica and darkwave...

COVERVERSIONS:

She's lost control again

Joy Division classic cover

Blue Monday

New Order (Post-Joy Division) classic cover, I have to admit I exaggerated the use of the filters of my boss dr groove drumcomputer ;)

.:.

My Interests

Music, active, I play Guitar, Bass, Synth/keys and I sing & of course passive consumption of music; Magick; Occultism; Thelema is the path I follow (see http://www.oto.de ); IT-Stuff (I love my IBook ;) but I also like Linux, btw I hate Micro$oft Windows; Literature (Fantasy like Dragonlance, LotR etc, Philosophy (Bakunin, Crowley, greek Classix), Esoteric Stuff (Dion Fortune, Wicca, Thelema, Hermetic Magick), contemporary politics (Noam Chomsky, M. Moore ;) ); other cultures (e.g. the american culture, I have my problems with understanding some of your oo well traits (right word?))...

I'd like to meet:

just real human beings (most of the people around ARE NOT HUMANS just Idiots...), especially Thelemites from all over the world.

Deutsche Mitglieder des OTO will ich nochmal auf folgende Veranstaltung hinweisen. Ihr wisst wo ihr euch melden müsst für mehr Informationen :D

Music:

Gothic Rock (Sisters, Bauhaus, Samsas Traum, Love like Blood, The Cassandra Complex, ASP...), Wave (Depeche Mode, Deine Lakaien, 80s Classics...), EBM (Fixmer/McCarthy, Nitzer Ebb, Spetsnaz, F242...), Hardcore (Agnostic Front, Life of Agony, Underdog, 108, Shelter, Yuppicide, SFA...), Punk, Metal, Alternative/INDIE ( good Indie is always a nice choice 2 eg Postal Service/Death Cab for Cutie or Bloc Party), Medieval Stuff like Faun, Nenia Calladhan, Qntal), Drum and Bass (Roni Size, Makai aka Kabuki, The Green Man), Industrial and Elektro (Skinny Puppy, oldschool like Throbbing Gristle and Cabaret Voltaire, Wumpscut), Dancehall, even some Jazz (Miles Davis and a bottle of wine rules...), but mainly good old sinister and dark independent rock and electronic music ("goth"). Best liveacts I have seen: Samsas Traum, ASP, Pink Turns Blue, New Model Army.

Movies:

Life of brian, donnie darko, all zucker-abrahams-zucker comedies, rambo (cause I always almost wet my pants, best action comedy ever), Dancer in the Dark, LOTR, Blade Runner and all Star Trek Movies, Series, good animes etc. But I do not watch many movies.

Television:

Alltime classics:
star trek, futurama, simpsons, the international news on cnn, nbc, ntv etc (no joke I like to see what happens around the world...), documentations (especially historical ones) , animes and generally asian "trash-pop-culture". During the last 1 1/2 years I rediscovered Doctor Who. I almost forgot how great this show is. Thanx BBC!
Right now:
Heroes (just great!) & Torchwood (Doctor Who-Spin Off)

Books:

Dragonlance-Series; Drow-Serie; LOTR; religious books eg bhagavad gita and vedic stuff in general, quran and sufi poets, buddhist stuff, comperative religious studies are important to me ; thelemic Books (not just Crowley); esoteric and magickal books eg Israel Regardie, Lon Milo DuQuette, Dion Fortune, Quentin Tindale, Phil Hines, Peter Carroll, Ramsey Dukes etc; Philosophy, especially socialist and libertarian ("anarchist") old school philosophy like Michail Alexandrowitsch Bakunin and Prince Pjotr Alexejev Kropotkin but also Hegel, Kant and all the other classic Philosophers; Terry Pratchett; H.P. Lovecraft; Brian Lumley; Neil Gayman; Iain M. Banks etc etc... A lot, I read about 1500 pages per month...

Heroes:

Heroes have the tendency to die young or in a tragical way :D so there are really no heroes. But I'd say the following people were musical, religious and philosophial "influences":
Robert Smith, Andrew Eldritch, Jose Buenaventura Durruti, Che Guevara, Edward Alexander "Aleister" Crowley (the worlds last great spiritual teacher), my friends and family, and MOST IMPORTANT: MY GIRLFRIEND! Well and myself of course *g*

Doctor Who about Aleister Crowley: 'lovely chap, if dreadfully misinterpreted, and a bit too fond of the old laudanum'
